I found Oppo A76 to be fine as a budget-friendly smartphone that doesn’t sacrifice quality.
How can I say this with certainty?
I tested the performance, battery, display, networking, operating system, and camera. The phone, I discovered, was quite an encouraging prospect as a traveling phone.
It has a long battery life and is portable due to its lightweight. But the performance and the camera are only average.

Design: Lightweight
Oppo A53 proved to be a phenomenal experience for me. It’s a great phone with a lot of features. The body and design are top-notch.
It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making this phone look and feel great. The weight is just perfect, and the size is exactly right for my hand.
I absolutely love the IPS LCD display and the 90Hz refresh rate. They make the screen bright. The resolution is excellent. Everything looks clear on this phone.
The Gorilla Glass 3 protection is an added bonus as it acts as a safeguard against accidents.
Performance: Lost Potential
I am only slightly impressed with the Oppo A53. The Snapdragon 460 chipset has limited power. On the other hand, the Adreno 610 GPU is great for gaming, but there are competitors in the market with better GPUs.
The 128GB of ROM could be more for most users. The 6GB RAM is not enough for smooth functioning and performance.
However, the micro-SDXC card slot is a nice touch.
Battery Life: Lasts Through The Day
I have been using the Oppo A53 for a while now and I can say that its battery life is pretty impressive. Even with heavy usage, the phone can easily last the day. It charges quite quickly too. This is thanks to the 18W fast charging support.
Network: Multi-Faceted
The Oppo A53 is compatible with GSM, HSPA, and LTE networks. The phone supports 4G LTE speeds of up to 42.2 Mbps.
It is easy to connect to Wi-Fi and use the hotspot feature. The Bluetooth connection was good and I was able to use aptX HD. The GPS worked well and I faced no trouble.
The USB Type-C 2.0 was fast. There was no issue using USB On-The-Go.
Software: Old And Obsolete
According to me, this is the worst aspect of Oppo A53. The smartphone runs on the Android 10 operating system, which cannot compete in the market in any regard.
Android 11 and Android 12 are far better operating systems than Android 10. The updated OS models are present in Oppo A53’s competitors.
However, the phone has Oppo’s ColorOS 7.2 user interface layered on top, which is a plus point.
Camera: Fails To Live Up To The Expectations
On the whole, the camera of Oppo A53 does not meet the expectations set by its parent brand, Oppo. The features are very basic.
Oppo A53 has a triple rear camera system consisting of a 13 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Both main and front cameras are capable of recording 1080p HD video at 30fps.

Final Verdict
Oppo A53 is a budget smartphone with a respectable battery and display. However, the camera, performance, and software are ill-equipped to compete in the market effectively.
I would advise you to go for Oppo A53 if its specs are suited to your needs.
