The Taste Place: Karachi Nihari House’s Review

If you’re ever in Karachi and craving some Nihari, Karachi Nihari House is the place to go!

They’ve been perfecting their recipe for years, slow-cooking the beef in a Deg until it’s melt-in-your-mouth tender. The stew is served with Tandoori Roti and a side of green chilies and ginger – delicious!

In addition to Nihari, Karachi Nihari House also has other classic Pakistani dishes like Tikka, Kababs, Rolls, and seafood. The menu is also reasonably priced.

NIHARI: FLAVORFUL

Last week on Thursday, I went to Karachi Nihari House with my family to try their famous Nihari. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to get a table relatively quickly.

We ordered Maghaz Nihari and Plain Nihari, both of which were served with Tandoori Roti, a side of green chilies, and ginger. The Nihari was delicious and the beef was cooked perfectly.

The gravy was rich and flavorful, the hot and crispy Roti was the perfect accompaniment, and the green chilies added a nice kick.

We were very impressed with the Nihari at Karachi Nihari House and would definitely try it again.

The price of Nihari at Karachi Nihari House is budget-friendly.  We were very happy with the prices at Karachi Nihari House.  We ordered the following items:

Plain Nihari: Rs. 300

Maghaz Nihari: Rs. 460

Tandoori Roti: Rs. 25

Chicken Garlic Mayo Roll: Rs.150

Chicken Biryani: Rs. 200

The total cost of our meal was Rs. 1360, which we thought was very reasonable given the quantity and quality of the food.

SERVICE: GENEROUS

The service at Karachi Nihari House was good. Our orders were taken quickly and the food was served fresh and hot.  The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they made sure we had everything we needed like Roti and Gravy.

AMBIANCE: GOOD ATMOSPHERE

The ambiance of Karachi Nihari House is casual and relaxed.  The restaurant is clean and well-lit, with normal Chairs and table seating. I went with my family and we were seated and relaxed. Obviously, you can not expect a fine-in at a Nihari restaurant.

HONORARY MENTION: ALL YOU NEED

I would like to give an honorary mention to the Chicken Garlic Mayo Roll. It was my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. The chicken was tender, the garlic mayo added a nice flavor, and the roll was crispy.

Next, Chicken biryani was also awesome. The rice was cooked perfectly and the chicken was very flavorful. The biryani was not too spicy, which was great.
