Kabab’s, Always & Forever: A Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House Review

If you're looking for an authentic Pakistani BBQ experience, Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House is the place to go. It's a bit pricey, but the kebabs are definitely worth it. The service is great and the atmosphere is quite relaxing.

What we don’t like

  • The slow service during peak hours

Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House is sure to hit the spot.

It is located at Delhi Saudagar Road No. 4, Delhi Mercantile Society, PECHS, Karachi. The restaurant is known for its signature kebabs, which are made with fresh, quality ingredients. The menu also features a variety of other Pakistani dishes, such as stews, curries, and rice dishes.

No matter what you’re in the mood for, Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House is sure to have something to tantalize your taste buds.

FOOD: HITS HOME

The Gola Kebabs are my absolute favorite – they’re perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth with every bite. The Chicken Turkish Kebabs are also excellent, and come served with a beautifully crispy outer layer.

But if you’re really looking to indulge, go for the Fry Beef Dhagga Kebabs – they’re absolutely delicious. And for something a little lighter, the Chicken Malai Boti is also excellent. The meat is always cooked to perfection and the spices are just right – not too overpowering but still packing a decent punch.

PRICE: VALUE-FOR-MONEY

Disclaimer: The prices quoted below are subjected to change. The current prices are dated 26 September, 2022. (As per the official FaceBook page).

Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House has an average check size that is a little on the expensive side than  your routine options. I ordered the following items:

  • Gola Kebabs: PKR 440
  • Chicken Turkish Kebabs: PKR 480
  • Fry Beef Dhaaga Kebabs: PKR 500
  • Chicken Malai Boti: PKR 480

However, the taste of these dishes more than makes up for the price.

SERVICE: TREATS YOU LIKE ROYALTY

The service at the Kebab House is attentive and efficient. The waiters were always on hand to take the order and bring the food. They were happy to answer all my questions that I had about the menu and were polite. It took almost 20-25 minutes to serve me my order.

Although the service could be a bit slow during peak hours, considering the quality of food on offer, it’s definitely worth the wait.

AMBIANCE: SIMPLE BUT SPECIAL

I found the atmosphere of the Kabab House to be casual and relaxed. The restaurant was small and intimate, with a semi-traditional Pakistani decor. The overall ambiance was quite satisfactory.

GENTRY: OPEN DOORS FOR ALL

I visited the restaurant on a weekend, and the Kebab House was full of people. As per the management, the restaurant is typically crowded on the weekend and the holidays.

Most of the customers were families, although there was a significant number of groups of friends. The majority of visitors were male, but there was a decent female turnout as well.

Overall, Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House is a great place to eat delicious kebabs with family and friends.

HONORARY MENTIONS: MORE THAN JUST KEBABS

Don’t be afraid to order something other than a restaurant’s specialty, because you might find that you like it even better. If you’re not in the mood for a kebab, no worries! Why not try a curry?

At Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar House, the Nalli Nihari (a spicy dish) and the BBQ Karahi are both excellent choices. The taste just doesn’t miss.

FINAL VERDICT:

Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House is one of the best Pakistani restaurants in town. It’s a bit pricey, but the kebabs were definitely worth it. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing, making it the perfect place to enjoy a BBQ meal.

Definitely recommended. Do try it out!
