What we don’t like

  • It's a bit pricey

Nihari Inn’s specialty is, of course, Nihari.  This is the place for you if you’re looking for an authentic and unique culinary experience.

The restaurant is located on Bank Rd, Block 5 Clifton and it has been attracting foodies from all over the city since establishment.

They have a variety of Nihari to offer like Plain Nihari, Nalli Nihari, Brain nihari, and many more but their Fried nihari is the most demanding because it is fried in Desi ghee which gives it a heavenly taste. In addition to Nihari, they also serve other traditional Pakistani dishes such as Haleem, Biryani, Mutton Kunna, Mutton Paya, and Korma.

NIHARI: DELICIOUS

Last week, despite the intense heat wave outside, I had a sudden craving for nihari. So we went to Nihari Inn and ate lunch indoors in their comfortable dining room. We ordered their fried Nihari with desi Ghee, and it was so good that we devoured it within minutes. The nihari here was not too spicy, and the meat just melted in our mouths.

It’s definitely worth a try if you’re ever in the area!

PRICE: BIT EXPENSIVE

When it comes to price, Nihari is not reasonable as it charges more than other local restaurants. A plate of Fried Nihari costs Rs 650 while Plain Nihari is for Rs.510 only. But their food quality and quantity are worth the price. We were four friends, and we ordered two plates of Nihari (Plain & Fried), which were enough for us.

Nihari Inn is the place to go! Just be prepared to shell out a few extra bucks for their specialty dishes.

SERVICE: SATISFIED

The service of Nihari Inn was also up to the mark as they had a very friendly and helpful staff. The waiters were quick to take our order and serve us the food promptly.

AMBIANCE: BASIC BUT ENJOYABLE

Nihari Inn has a casual and comfortable ambiance with a spacious air-conditioned dining area on the first floor, which is best for families. The restaurant is usually crowded during dinner time but we went at lunchtime and there were not many people, which made it more comfortable for us to enjoy our meal.

GENTRY: BEST FOR ALL

The gentry of the restaurant was also quite decent. We didn’t see any unruly behaviour or anything that would make us feel uncomfortable.

FINAL VERDICT:

Nihari Inn is a great place to eat if you’re looking for some authentic Nihari. The taste of their Nihari is unique and definitely worth trying. Although it’s a bit on the expensive side so Just be prepared to spend a bit more than you would at a typical local restaurant. The service and ambiance are also good, making it a great option for a casual lunch or dinner with friends or family.
