Everyone loves kababs. They’re so delicious and can be made with different meats and spices, making each variety unique and flavorful. There are multiple types of kebabs, including Seekh kebabs, Shami kabab, Shish kabab, Gola kabab, and Bihari Kababs.

My favorite food is Seekh kababs. These are a type of kabab that is made with ground meat that is mixed with spices and then formed into long skewers. They are often grilled, but can also be cooked in a pan or oven.

To make seekh kabab, I often have to gather various spices and grind them. I then let minced meat marinate overnight. This is a long and tiring process. Recently, I discovered multiple brands offering different seekh kabab masalas. To find the one suited to my taste, I tried a few of them, and here’s what I think about them.

These are as ‘Shahi’ as their name suggests. With no msg, these add a strong kick of flavors to meat without undermining the meaty, earthy taste of minced meat. I used this blend to make seekh kabab in my last dinner party, and they were a hit, without a doubt.

National seekh kabab masalas are made with only the finest spices. These spice blends are mildly spiced, and make scrumptious seekh kabab without overpowering the meat taste. However, these blends are made in the same facility where gluten is used so these are not gluten friendly.

The Gluten Fix – Malka Afghani Seekh Kabab Rating

DISLIKE

I always make use of this spice mix to make seekh kabab for a friend who has a gluten allergy. Malka afghani seekh kabab are moderately spiced. It also has no msg, or gluten which makes them a perfect fit for anyone who likes their seekh kabab  spice to be balanced, or might have gluten allergy.

The Milder #2 – Mehran Seekh Kabab

DISLIKE

  • Comes in a non-degradable packaging
  • Might have limited shelf life

Mehran seekh kabab has caraway in their ingredient list, which initially made me try them. Caraway has many digestive benefits, such as relieving inflammation, and lower gastric issues etc . These are moderately spicy, although it caked up in a month which makes me question their shelf life.
